“ Highly recommend!!!! If you’re looking for an excellent seafood restaurant. This is the place! Bring an appetite with friends or family. They have a wide variety of starters and menu options that will be filled with large portion. The staff and manager were all excellent and very attentive with truly wanting to ensure everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. Wonderful home town feel with a country sea side vibe with a little playfulness (candy machines and stickers etc). Pro Tip If you have a large family or group., call ahead to avoid waiting. They are very willing to accommodate! ”
“ Pulled in across the street at the truck stop & saw this spot. Thought why not I haven't eaten. I'm so glad I went in and tried it. I had the New Orleans BBQ shrimp. It was great!!! I like the inside of the restaurant. All the wall decor, played great music. Definitely my style in the different genreds. My waitress was okay not to friendly & couldn't give recommendations on the food because "she doesn't eat seafood ." Overall, I was pleased I will be back whenever I pass through & definitely recommend. ”
“ Ordered my regular fried ribs to go and had some hiccups, but called to explain they had forgotten my jelly (its the best!) And when I came in to get it, he packed me 3 extras and gave me a gift card for my troubles. Appreciate the service and the amazing food. ”
“ While on the way to High Island for some birding we stopped off at the Winnie, TX Tia Juanita's Fish Camp for dinner and had the gator tacos. Excellent dinner, top-shelf margarita and service (thank you KK). The restaurant was full on a Thursday night which is indicative of its popularity. It was so good that we stopped off for lunch the next day on our return trip to Houston. I had the half Po Boy with a cup of seafood chowder (thank you Jacob). The combination allowed for a taste of two local cuisine favorites. ”
“ Outstanding experience! Dustin, the bartender was friendly and made great suggestions even alternating the menu to get me what I wanted. First ever boudin ball and I’m blown away! Why aren’t these in every city on earth? Also, first time eating a Pistolette. Light, delicate, cooked perfectly, tasted like a temporary escape from reality! Entree was bbq shrimp but I wanted grits not rice, was not a problem. Good move, best grits I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. Shrimp and sauce were perfect and the garlic toast was too! Highly recommend!! ”
“ We love this place. The food is excellent and our waitress, Christina was very helpful and knowledgeable. ”
“ Happened to notice restaurant beside our hotel and googled reviews. Have to say we were very impressed with all aspects of our dining experience. Food was exceptional. Waiter recommended the alligator for an appetizer and decided to go with it, never having had it before. It was great. Husband had sausage and chicken gumbo and I had fish which was rice and shrimp, both excellent. The New Orleans BbQ shrimp was so flavourful, just loved the sauce and tge serving size was exceptional. And don’t miss out on the 20oz frozen margherita. Loved it. ”
“ Had dinner here with my hubby. We started with oysters with bacon and jalapenos and they were delicious. I had the seafood enchiladas and they were delicious as well. I didn't care much for the charro beans or rice. The gumbo roux tasted burnt. Which is a shame because I love good gumbo. Husband had the beef fajitas and he loved them didn't care for the rice either. (It was mushy) our waitress was friendly and attentive. Definitely would go back ”
